Virginia Tech’s Business Information Technology (BIT) Department, which is under the Pamplin College of Business, educates students on the application of cutting edge analytical and technological tools to help companies make better management decisions and support companies’ security and operations functions. The BIT department offers 2 undergraduate majors:
- Business Information Technology (with the option of Computer-Based Decision Support Systems or the option of Operations and Supply Chain Management)
- Cybersecurity Management and Analytics (CMA)
Both majors are offered at the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg. The CMA major is also offered at the Virginia Tech campus in Alexandria but is only open to transfer students.
